ITEXIA becomes seventhings: making the step into a circular world.

ITEXIA becomes seventhings: we renamed and rebranded! We want to help companies all over the world to take the step into the circular economy with digital asset management. Find out why we are doing this and what will change for you in this blog article.

... why we are starting the circular economy with seventhings...

… what exactly are we planning to do... ...

... and how can you apply it into your business.

With seventhings into the circular economy

While physical assets often live an unused life in many companies, the so-called "seven things" are the perfect example of what you really need: seven things are all you need and all you can easily keep track of.

Since 2014, we have been working on making asset management simple and digital. In the process, we have learned a lot and worked very hard to develop a software that is easy and intuitive to use and saves a lot of time when taking inventory of the items in your company.

But that's not all: we want to revolutionize the circular economy with our software. With our cloud platform, we want to help companies return assets back to the cycle instead of disposing of them. At the end of their use things can be refurbished, reused, recycled and with that never leave the cycle.

What do we have in mind?

Millions of assets that still work perfectly load up in the trash every year. Thus, tons of inventory items are disposed of that actually still work fine and could be put to meaningful use. What is the reason for this?

„It is often very difficult for companies to pass on assets in a meaningful way after the end of their usage. Everywhere, tons of assets end up in the trash that are actually still in top shape, but are disposed of because the bureaucratic effort is too high."

Patrick Boden, CEO & co-founder of seventhings

Every company has to focus on it's core business and do everything it can to be profitable in today's globalised world. At the same time, however, many entrepreneurs and employees are heartbroken by the senseless disposal of so many items. This is where we come in!

How can you start now?

In our pilot project "Circularity Hub", we are already working with some of our customers to develop concrete use cases for passing on physical assets that are no longer needed. There are many ways to pass them on: Whether selling to employees, donating to surrounding associations or reselling. But the infrastructure is missing. Our goal is to give as many intact inventory items as possible the chance of a second life. The foundations for this are laid in the data of our inventory manager.
