Telekom's TechBoost Programme gives cloud-based Start-ups a boost

As a start-up in the fast-moving technology industry, it can be difficult to beat the competition and stay competitive. That's why it's important to seize every opportunity to take your business to the next level. At seventhings, we saw and seized such an opportunity in Deutsche Telekom's TechBoost programme.

In this blog post you will learn more about...

... what the Telekom TechBoost programme ist about,

... how we use its opportunities at seventhings

... to give our newest innovation a boost.

What is the Telekom TechBoost Programme about?

The Telekom TechBoost programme is designed to support cloud-based start-ups with innovative ideas and technologies and give them access to resources, networks and customers. To become part of the programme, you have to go through several application rounds. We were able to show that seventhings is well positioned in terms of organisation and technology, and above all that we can really make a difference with our innovative IoT solution.

How do we use the TechBoost opportunities at seventhings?

One of the biggest hurdles for startups is often funding. Through the Telekom TechBoost programme, start-ups receive credit for the Open Telekom Cloud (OTC), which allows them to store customer data securely despite limited funds. With the Open Telekom Cloud, we have found the ideal solution for our software to store customer data securely and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In addition, the Open Telekom Cloud is a Green Cloud, which allows us to host all our data in a sustainable and climate-friendly way.

It also allows us to think outside the box and take advantage of everything that a modern cloud has to offer. For example, our developers can test and automate cluster technologies.

As part of the programme, we have become part of the TechBoost Connect network. This gives us the opportunity to make new contacts with potential customers or partners. We also have access to a network of industry experts and resources that can help us develop and grow.

The Boost for our Circularity Hub

Strictly speaking, seventhings is no longer a start-up, but we are bringing an innovation to the market with our Circularity Hub. Within our inventory management software, we are creating an easy way to bring no longer needed assets back to the cycle of use. With the TechBoost programme, we can give this innovation boost it needs to be available for our customers fast, scalable and, most importantly, sustainable.
