Circularity Hub – a successful path to the circular economy

Successfully navigate the path to circularity together with the seventhings Circularity Hub. This product update makes it easy to get started with circular asset management.

The following topics are covered in this article:

Solving today's business challenges with the circular economy

Businesses today face a number of sustainability challenges, particularly in relation to climate change, resource scarcity and growing waste issues. Today's business world is under increasing pressure to reduce its environmental impact, be socially responsible and meet higher ethical standards. The focus is on meeting ESG targets. These are designed to encourage companies to improve their environmental, social and corporate governance performance. With the introduction of circular inventory management, we have created a methodology that optimises companies' ESG compliance and paves the way for a circular economy.

We believe that circularity is the solution to the problems we face from dwindling resources, a global waste problem and climate change. That's why we want to create a never-ending cycle that reduces the consumption of raw materials and resources and returns no longer needed items to the cycle. From now on you can track this cycle with the seventhings inventory manager and actively implement it in your company.

We are delighted to announce the big product update the Circularity Hub!

Insights into the Circularity Hub

The Circularity Hub enables you to focus on circular inventory management in the future. Your company can take the first important step towards a circular economy. Thanks to this unique software solution, you can now increase your resource efficiency and improve your company's ESG compliance at the same time. You might be surprised how easy it can be!

What features await you?

Together with seventhings, you can follow the life cycle of products from production to the end of their useful life and return excess or unused products to the economic cycle. In just two clicks, you can breathe new life into unwanted inventory. Items that you used to simply throw away when they were no longer useful to you now have a whole new life. You can...

... sell them to employees, other departments or external parties.

The Circularity Hub suggests a price for the inventory based on the market price. This saves you time-consuming research and you don't have to worry about tax benefits. By passing on the inventory internally, the product cycle is kept as short as possible without additional disposal costs and emissions.

... sell them to refurbishers,  including a CO₂ certificate and data erasure.

To bring old and broken stock back into circulation, seventhings works with partners such as IT and furniture refurbishment companies. They will collect the stock from your company and you will even receive money for stock that you would otherwise have had to dispose of at a cost. You even get a CO₂ certificate and of course all data is professionally erased.

... donate them to local clubs, schools or other organisations.

We set up a local network where unwanted items can be exchanged and donated. We put you in touch with potential recipients such as schools, clubs and charities.

Why the Circularity Hub really makes sense for your business

The circular economy sounds like the perfect solution, so why haven't more companies adopted its principles?

Especially since the European Council adopted the ESG reporting obligation for companies, companies are obliged to implement sustainability in the company and be able to prove it in the future. But this is easier said than done. In our experience, the sheer amount of red tape often prevents companies from bringing their products back into circulation. This is where the Circularity Hub comes in, automating these processes for you. In this way, we enable companies to meet sustainability standards.

The Circularity Hub also has other important features: It shows you how much CO₂ your company has already saved and highlights potential savings. It also offers a financial value: conventional disposal processes are not only harmful to the environment, but also expensive. With the Circularity Hub, companies with 1,000 employees save an average of €56,600 per year compared to conventional waste disposal.

Together with seventhings, you can make a difference now. What are you waiting for?
